About the Foundation
The Emily Stillman Foundation was created in 2014 to preserve the memory of Emily Nicole Stillman. Emily was a 19-year-old sophomore at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan, when she died of Meningitis B.
Our Mission
The Emily Stillman Foundation has a three-fold mission.
Every day, we work to:
Educate the public about meningococcal disease and other vaccine-preventable diseases
Raise awareness for and encourage organ and tissue donation
Advocate globally for health and wellness issues

Medical Advisory Panel
Our medical council is made up of leading physicians and healthcare professionals. The panel provides support to the Emily Stillman Foundation, particularly the American Society for Meningitis Prevention, through medical counsel and review.
Dr. Paul Offit
Dr. Paul Offit is Director of the Vaccine Education Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Professor of Vaccinology and Pediatrics at the UPenn Perelman School of Medicine.
Dr. Gary Marshall
Dr. Gary Marshall is a Professor of Pediatrics and Chief of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
Dr. MaryBeth Koslap-Petraco
Dr. Mary Beth Koslap-Petraco is a nurse practitioner in private practice, a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University School of Nursing and a nurse consultant for the Immunization Action Coalition.
Dr. Nathan Boonstra
Dr. Nathan Boonstra is a General Pediatrician at the Blank Children’s Pediatric Clinic in Des Moines Iowa.
